Percussion Study at JU focuses on preparing students for the multi-faceted demands of the contemporary percussion artist. Our students find their unique musical voice while developing the technical skill necessary for today's well-rounded percussionist.
Under the direction of Tony Steve, recent performances of the JU Percussion Ensemble
include works of Reich, Chavez, Riley, student compositions, and live performance
with silent film. World traditions are also explored by the ensemble which maintains
an active performance schedule on campus and in the community.
